Marissa King, LMFT
Marissa, Certified Group Facilitator for the Balancing Life Project is a licensed marriage and family therapist. She received her BA in Art History from Barnard College, Columbia University and her Masters in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University. She focuses on anxiety disorders and depression, using psychotherapy to help clients achieve fulfillment through self-awareness and personal growth. She trained at the Maple Counseling Center in Beverly Hills, CA and worked as a BLP Certified Group Facilitator at Promises Treatment Center, Malibu in California. She divides her time between the BLP and running her private practice in West Los Angeles and Torrance, CA. Marissa was raised in Los Angeles, and has a life-long interest in the ways people express themselves through painting and sculpture and how these expressions change over time.
