In the early 1990s in response to a difficult transition, Ann Nesbit, PhD discovered there was no comprehensive wellness program to guide her. Utilizing her psychological and educational background she developed a program to meet her needs.
As she developed her program she was surprised by the many unforeseen befits, some of which were empowerment, increased productivity, personal growth and peace of mind - all of which emerged from her increasingly balanced approach to life. All along she had been discussing her experience with her closest colleagues, family members and friends all of whom urged her to perfect the program for seminar distribution and for the newest technology on the horizon - the Internet.
Slowly she began to realize that she had created a paradigm that organized all of the important elements of life and, in addition, had created a unique change technology she called "PlayWork". She started to teach what she then was calling her "Project for Balancing Life" to small groups with immediate success.
A core group formed and morphed over the years into a powerful creative team. All agreed that Nesbit's vision could offer individuals, couples, families, groups and organizations a broad, enriching approach to wellness. Everyone believed that her "Balancing Life Project" - the BLP - as it was coming to be known, could have a significant impact on the quality of peoples lives.
Since those early days the BLP has been enhanced, refined and tested with people from many walks of life. As its content and technology inevitably demonstrate extraordinarily positive results, the leadership of the BLP is currently launching a nation-wide initiative with several groups, programs and organizations.
